Sited on the raised banks of the spillway, the five tented suites are positioned to enjoy the expansive views of this wild utopia. Each tent is elevated on wooden decking, and the canvas structures are airy, naturally and subtly decorated with classic wooden furnishings and comfortable furniture.
Each of the tents is spaced well apart and has a self-contained shower, loo, and large decked verandah. Beds can be configured for double or twin accommodation, while a family tent specifically accommodates for parents and children.
The neutral canvas tents, and deep wood flooring and decking keep the tones of the camp and rooms in a perfect balance with nature. The Honeymoon tent has an additional outdoor shower, adding an element of African romance.
The camps five tented units each sleep two people, except for the family tent, which joins two 2-bedroom units and sleeps parents and children in adjoining rooms. The tents look out over the Selinda Spillway, which is the ultimate appeal of the camp’s location.
Each tent has an en suite bathroom with a shower and toilet, double or twin beds, bedside tables, hanging cupboards, luggage racks, floor rugs, curtains, and a desk and chairs. The family room has two bathrooms (an en suite for each room), and all tents have wooden verandahs.
One of the tents is specifically designed to accommodate disabled guests. Every tent stands independently, offering an element of privacy, and blends into the natural vegetation. The tent entrances are wood and mesh sliding doors, which allow for the free flow of air without inviting the bugs in.
